Little, Brown and Company was founded in 1837 and for close to two centuries has
published fiction and nonfiction by many of America's finest writers. In 1993
Little, Brown created a new trade paperback imprint, Faith words was launched in
September 2001 to publish books for the growing inspirational market. It was
formed when Hachette Livre purchased the Time Warner Book Group from Time Warner
on March 31, 2006.
In one year, HBG publishes approximately 500 adult books, 180 young adult and
children's books, and 50 audio book titles. In 2005, the company had a record 69
books on the New York Times bestseller list,
